My Week in Photos

I got a new cell phone two weeks ago (with a much nicer camera on it) and thought about doing a "My Week In Photos" post once a week like I've seen on other blogs. I meant to do my first post back on Saturday but completely forgot! So you're getting last week's photos today... ; )

This was my view Monday and Tuesday as I sat miserable with a stomach virus. Matt was out of town, so I pretty much stayed glued to that chair for 2 whole days. (Chewy didn't seem to mind much!)

This is what's left of the frog toy Chewy got for Christmas. He didn't last very long. : (

This is a picture I took for a swap I'm hosting on Swap-bot. We'll be swapping our favorite writing pens. : )

This was a sweet banner my co-workers made for me at church Sunday. It was my last day working in the nursery. I'm looking forward to going back to church after almost 8 years, but I'm definitely going to miss the kids!

And those are my pics from last week! Hope you enjoyed them... and I hope I remember to post this week's on Saturday! ; )

Mail Love Giveaway

Yay! I'm finally doing that giveaway I kept talking about. : )   I wanted to do another giveaway once I hit 50 followers, and I'm already up to 57! And since most of my new followers have come from Swap-bot and other Mail-Love spots, I put together a little Mail Love package for 1 of you to win:

(Ok, I'm not sure why all these pics have gray on the bottom... please ignore that!)

In this package you will find the following:

This cute little mail inspired bag (I slipped a postcard in so you could see the design)

4 Etsy Postcards, including 2 from the little fox, 1 from jojo la rue, and 1 from pretty girl postcards

And finally, a pack of clear stamps and a roll of striped paper deco tape : )
And that's it! All you have to do to enter is be a follower and leave a comment. If you'd like an extra entry, you can tweet about the giveaway or  link to it on your blog. One extra entry for each of those. Please leave a separate comment for each entry. : )

I'll randomly draw a winner on Monday, February 6th, so you have until the 5th to enter. Good luck!

101 in 1001: Number 66

Hello again. I'm home sick today, so I thought I'd do a make-up post for you. So without further ado:

66. Go to an Alabama football game

Ok, way back on November 19, Matt and I joined our friends Micah and Gloria and headed up to Tuscaloosa to see Alabama play Georgia Southern. Micah's parents bought us all tickets for Micah's birthday. : )

We got there early and walked around campus for a while. It was pretty crowded, but the weather was nice. And the trees were really pretty with all their fall-colored leaves. This was one of my favorites:

It was much prettier in person. ; )  It was Gloria's first time visiting Alabama's campus, so the guys took her on a tour. It was kind of sweet, but a little amusing. Especially since one of their favorite parts was the "fancy" port-a-potty that was, and I quote, just like "a really nice hotel bathroom." : )

When it was nearing kick-off time, we headed into Bryant-Denny Stadium.

I didn't think the game was going to be very exciting, but Georgia Southern did a lot better than I thought they would! We still won 45 to 21 though. : )  It's always fun watching Alabama play. They have a very committed fan base, so the crowd is usually entertaining, and the Million Dollar Band never disappoints during the half-time show.

Here are a few pictures inside the stadium:

One of these days, I'd love to go to an Iron Bowl, or the Alabama vs. Auburn game. That's our big rival, for those of you who don't live in the Southeast. ; )  Tickets are pretty hard to come by though, so I won't hold my breath...

It was pretty late by the time we got home, but we all had a good time. Hopefully I'll get to go to at least one game again next season. : )

Another Lovely Mail Day

Happy New Year! Yes, I know it's the 10th and that it's been a month since I've posted. Sorry about that... I made one resolution this year that encompassed a lot of areas that I need to work on, and that is ORGANIZATION!!!! So far I haven't put much effort into it, but now's a great place to start! : )

I have tons of mail pics to share, so some of these are kind of old... But here are some outgoing pieces:

For a "doodle my profile" postcard swap... She liked elephants and flowers. : )

Another swap. This user liked Pixar movies, so I went with a Toy Story theme.

This was for a Recipe Postcard Swap

This was for Gracie's "A Special Postcard" swap : )

This swap-bot user liked peacocks and vintage stamps : )

This was for a Halloween Mail Art swap. She shared my love for "Labyrinth," so I made her a little Jareth trick-or-treater : )

This was for a "Cover an envelope with tons of random stickers" swap. I had a lot of fun with it!

Another swap-bot item... This lady loved moose. So I found some vintage moose (and elk, ha ha) stamps and doodled her this goofy guy.

I can't even remember what most of these swap-bot ones were for... :(

Another swap-bot letter. Love the stamps on this one!

I believe this was for a make-up Mail Art swap... My first attempt was lost in the mail. : (

This was for an "Under the Sea" Mail Art swap. I had a lot of fun coloring it. : ) Unfortunately I didn't have any fish stamps, so I went with dinosaurs! Ha, ha...

Another Mail Art swap. I decided to try out Zentangle and really enjoyed it!

More Mail Art. I ended up really liking this envelope, but I'm not sure that she ever got it b/c I was never rated... Oh well.

The back of that one

Another sticker swap
And I'll leave it there for now... I have lots more mail pics to post, but I'll try to squeeze some other posts in between, including the giveaway! : )  Hope you're having a great day!
